April 2021 week 1

Verse of the Day for Thursday, April 1, 2021:

Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous. — Psalm 37:16-17

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

What do we want to be the basis of our security? Will it be what we can do, accomplish, achieve, earn, and hoard? Or will it be our God, who has shown himself faithful throughout generations upon generations? We get to choose! So what will be your choice? In what will you find your security?

My Prayer

Almighty God, you are the Father of Israel, God of the nations, and my Abba Father. I place my trust in you. I know that my money, possessions, achievements, and abilities are not my own. You have blessed me with these to honor you and bring your grace to others. Please keep my heart pure and focused on you. Gently purge my heart of pride and selfishness. Please pour your blessing out on me so that I might bring you greater glory and those I love your gracious blessings. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Verse of the Day for Friday, April 2, 2021:

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. — Romans 8:16-17

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

Your Brother died and left you the family inheritance! That’s the message here. Because we have God’s Spirit, we are God’s children. If we are God’s children, then we are heirs of all that God has to offer us. We are co-heirs with Christ, whose death made our adoption into God’s family possible. So if we have to put up with some hard times or some painful difficulties, we will not despair. We know the time is coming when we will inherit all the blessings of heaven!

My Prayer

Father, thank you for your grace. I need you to pour out that grace more and more. Please help me bear up under the weight of my trials and temptations with character and faithfulness. Please give me the courage to hang on through the tough times because I know that I will eventually share heaven with you. Thank you for your Spirit, my assurance that I am your child and that I will share in all of your blessings. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Monday April 5

The children of Israel had told God that they would fear him and keep his commandments.  But he knew they would eventually walk away and forget their promises and his commandments.  He knew that they would not always have “these same dispositions”.  Yet God cared deeply about his people and wanted them to heed their warnings and keep their laws.  He wanted him to be successful and to enjoy his blessings constantly.

What was his solution?  God reminded his children of the word he had given them.  Its laws served to remind them what to do and say, “that they and their descendants may be happy forever.”  They were to “follow exactly the way which the Lord had commanded them” (Deuteronomy 5.33).  Obedience and fidelity in their everyday lives would help them stay true and faithful.  Living in accordance with his Word would keep them out of trouble, avoid temptations, and allow them to experience all of his blessings.  God, likewise, is interested in us.  He hears when we make promises, but he also knows how many times, so often, people like us have failed and failed to keep their promises over the years.  He knows how easy it is for us to be tempted and confused, and to give up our commitments.  That’s the reason he gave us his Word.

Today surrender your life to God.  Seek the power of the Holy Spirit to help you stay spiritually strong.  Constantly fill your life with the Bible and make it a standard for your life.  Put his word into practice.  And seek to have that heart that pleases him.

Tuesday April 6

It is advised to soccer professional players to quickly forget their last trophies in order to focus on the coming events. The athlete world has understood the principle of stretching, constantly pressing forward and never being satisfied with the last success.

Too many people live below their potentials and scientists have discovered that people only use 10% of their brain abilities. But the Bible tells us that we have valuable treasure on the inside of us.We have gifts, something to offers that nobody else has.The problem is situated in two parts, the first one is the fact that we have already done great and believe that it’s finish.I believe that as long as we are on earth God still has great things to do with us.Out greatest blessing is never behind us,it is always ahead of us.The second reason why we don’t use our brain that much is what our mind has received as information. Many people have grown up listening destroying words instead of praising words and that had led us to a low self esteem. The scripture tells us that the gift and the blessings of the lord are irrevocable which means despite what you have done, heard, witnessed,You still have that gift to serve to the world, that gift that nobody else has and it is up to you to use it or not.

I encourage you this morning to rise and stretch to the next level, manifest what the lord has placed in you.The world needs you.

Wednesday April 7

There was A young man named Joseph who received dreams that he will Rule over his family and his people.Unfortunately for him, he ended up being sold as a slave in Egypt by his brothers who couldn’t accept his dreams and boldness. The young Joseph went through very hectic moments from working for Potiphar who liked him to prison in the pharaoh’s personal jail.

This young man had every reason to give up.He had no more family,he was not hoping to see them again,he even could have slept with his master wife to gain some favors but to our biggest surprise,he said no to her.Why could have he said no to her ?

The response is found in his trust in the Lord,Joseph trusted God,trusted that they was hope for him.He knew like Job that his redeemer was alive therefore he obeyed to God’s commands. The Bible tells us in the book of proverb 3:5-6”trust the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding,in all your ways submit to him,and he will make your paths straight”.

It is often hard to trust, especially when things are though, but we have to do so and remember no matter what happens around us our lord is good and that his mercy endures forever.

Thursday April 8

In 2014 after graduating I was supposed to go and study with a scholarship in South America Cuba.Unfortunately out of 600 people I was not able to be accepted.I was totally devastated for what was happening to me.It was a closed door. The next year,I moved in china and that has been the greatest blessing of my entire life.In many ways, life operates in manner similar to that closed  door. You have to let go of your disappointments, let go of your failures, and let those doors totally close behind you.Step forward, into the future that God has for you, knowing there’s nothing you can do about past disappointments. You cannot change the past, but you can do something about the future. What’s in front of you is far more important than what is behind you.Where you are going is more significant than where you came from or where you have Been.It seems like your dreams have died, but God can resurrect your dead dreams or give you brand-new ones.God did not create any person without putting something extremely valuable on the inside. You need to dig your heels in and say “I know what I have on the inside.I’m a child of the most high God.I’m full of his  “can-do” power and am going to rise up to become everything god has created me to be”

The apostle Paul urged Timothy in 2 timothy 1:6 “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God,which is in the thee by putting on of my hands”

I encourage you today to rise up and shine.
