What is Love
The Greatest Commandment is about loving God and loving our Neighbour as much as we love ourselves. This therefore means as believers we need to know what love really is. Love is not merely an emotion or a feeling.
1Corinthians 13 4-8: 4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
8 Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy ([d]the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].
Thought of the Day: Do I really love?

Knowing Him is a blessing
I am a believer of Jesus Christ our Messiah not because I grew up in a Christian dominated country. I am not a Believer because my parents are Christians. I am not a believer because of my intellectual capacity. I believe in Christ because his grace found me, believing is a miracle in itself.
John 15 v 16: You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as [b]presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you.
We are the chosen generation and thus we ought to bear last fruits befitting our repentance. Galatians 5 v 22 talks about the fruits of the Spirit.
Thought of the Day: The blessing came before the belief

Be thankful always
Life is filled with up as downs. There is always something to be thankful for. Sometimes we don’t see it but if you adjust your perspective you will appreciate that for whatever difficult situation there is always the possibility of a worse off outcome.
1 Thessalonians 5 v 18: Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].
Thought of the Day: What are you thankful for?

Jehovah gives life
It’s so amazing that out of nothing He created everything. Man needs raw materials to produce but not our God. By his Word worlds were formed and life was brought into existence.
Psalm 127 v 1: Except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; except the Lord keeps the city, the watchman wakes but in vain.
Anything and everything we do will as Children of God will only come to fruition if God establishes our plans. It is my faith that if we make known our requests to God through prayer all that we labor for will not be in vain. It might be our health, our familes, our relationships or any situation in our lives that seems dead. The same God who breathed life into us can breathe life into any facet of our lives.
Thought of the Day : Find what needs to live again & don’t labor in vain?

Trust in the Lord
The mind is arguably man’s greatest resource, with the mind so much has been accomplished. Everyday our minds process different pieces of information to make decisions that serve our interests. The mind however is vulnerable to misinformation in this information age fake news has become more of a concern. Our ability to make the best decision is compromised by the quality of information we receive. And even when get accurate information there are no guarantees our process of thought will lead us to the best conclusion.
Proverbs 3 v 5: Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart
And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
Our experiences shouldn’t matter when you have the Almighty God on your side. We don’t know everything and we don’t need to know everything all we need is to have faith in God. Our Father is all knowing, all powerful and he loves us so much.
Thought of the Day: It is not about what we know but rather who we know
