FIGHTING TO THE TOP

Deuteronomy 1:8 (NKJV)

8 See, I have set the land before you; go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—to give to them and their descendants after them.’

Deuteronomy 2:24 “ ‘Rise, take your journey, and cross over the River Arnon. Look, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin to possess it, and engage him in battle.

Points to note

1) God has great plans and purposes for us His children. He has destined us for the top.

2) It takes a “fighter-spirit” to make the most of life and be a conqueror.

3) Becoming all that God promised us will not happen on a platter of gold or a bed of ease.

 

What to fight for:

1) To maintain our faith Jude 1:3

2) To fullfil purpose and destiny Phil. 3:13, 2 Tim 4:6-7

3) Against forces of evil Eph. 6:11-12, Acts 3:10

4) Against personal weaknesses and sinful habits. Heb. 12:1

 

Weapons for victory

Eph. 6:10-18

• Word of God
• Faith
• Courage
• Righteousness
• Prayer; watching day and night.
• Joy and praise.
