Leviticus 10:10 ““and to make a distinction and recognize a difference between the holy (sacred) and the common (profane), and between the [ceremonially] unclean and the clean;”AMP version.

When we want to distinguish between fake and real things we have to learn every facets of the real so we can recognize the fake. The same way, as we seek more of God’s presence the more we will be able to distinguish Him clearly in our lives. And therefore we will have discernment and understand to walk the straight path He is guiding us on. We are set apart, to represent His light.

Heavenly Father, refine our heart so our desire is to have more of you and then your will be done in our Lives.

Amen.

Matthew 5:  13-15  You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. 14You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house

Often times it is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. It is the same for some verses in the Bible.  Matthew 5: 13-15 is such. We are to be witnesses for Christ here and people must see the love of Christ in us. Christ said that they will know us by the love that we show. During this time of uncertainty we must demonstrate our faith and belief that all is well. We are the light of the world.

Do Not Be Afraid

Genesis 15:1 – After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.’

A pastor friend of mine shared with me some thoughts. Do you know that there are 365 verses in the Bible that include the words “do not be afraid”? One for each day of the year. In times of trouble or discouragement we must be careful to remember that God is in control and that we should not be anxious for anything. As the song says God is my rock my sword and shield and he is the wheel in the middle of the wheel. Never forgetting to pray without ceasing and to praise him always.

Jeremiah 31:25 ” I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint”.

It’s a promise and a decree. God will refresh and satisfy us when weariness and exhaustion are attacking . The worst death is the one where hope and joy has been removed and replaced by worries and fear. Sadly enough, the atmosphere is saturated with those lately, worldwide. But We give God all Glory for He always have good news to counter the bad. And we trust in His word for it is True that He’ll refresh and satisfy us his people during these tough times.
Dear Lord, thank you for refueling us with the Word of life, for as you send your words, you are accomplishing it. Use us to spread the same assurance and joy so that others will also benefit from the life you give.
In Jesus name
Amen.

James 5:13 “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.”

Prayer is one vital part of our life as Christian. Whether in quiet times or in trouble times we should acknowledge thag He is our Father, our Lord. God wants us to be confident and comfortable at all times to come in His presence and confide in Him. There is nothing about us that He doesn’t already know. Confession is good for us, for our own freedom. Showing that we trully cast our cares unto Him. In good times, songs of praise are also befitting, another type of prayer from a grateful, blessed soul, Glorifying God and His wonderful deeds.
Whatever our circumstance today and all the days to come, Lord keep us continuously to your presence in prayer, and put a new song in our heart.
In Jesus name.
Amen.
