What is the Attitude of this Church? Part 1  Lesson Objective:  The purpose of this series of lessons is to identify key attributes necessary for any Church and especially Jinan International Christian Fellowship (JICF) to have that will allow the Church to carry out the Great Commission. JICF must understand the importance of evangelizing and bringing others into the Church Family.   Scripture: Matthew 28: 18-20; John 3:16 Memory Verse: Matthew 28: 18-20 What is the importance of Attitude? Your altitude is most often decided by your attitude   Attitudes to be discussed over the next several weeks Love of God and our fellowman attitude Truth Seeking attitude Attitude of Servitude Attitude for Action Attitude of Forbearance and Patience Attitude of Unity and Peace ???????? Guess ?????????   Members need to have attitude of Love- The Two Great Commandments- Matthew 22: 37-40 God’s example of love for us- John 3:16 Love is vital to our attitudes- 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3 The Church must have the same attitude towards love as Christ – John 13: 34-35 and 1 John 4: 19-21 Other verses that demonstrate why we should love- 1 Thessalonians 3:12; 4:9,10 and 2 Thessalonians 1:3.   Love requires obedience How did Christ show his love -1 John 3: 16-18 John 15: 12-17 1 John 5: 2-3 Additional verses John 15:12-17; Ephesians. 5:2; Philippians. 2:2,3; Hebrew 13:1; 1 Peter 1:22; 2:17   Must have attitude of seeking Truth John 8: 31-34 1 Peter 1: 22-23 Not seeking truth leads one to believe anything 2 Thessalonians 2: 10-12 Where do we seek truth- John 17:17 Truth can set us free from sin- Psalm 25: 4.5   Must have attitude of obeying  the truth 1 Peter 1: 22-23 Romans 2: 6-11 John 8:31   Must have attitude to preach against sin Hebrews 1:9 Romans 12:9 Revelation 3:19
