Topic: Greatest enemy of man: Ignorance

Hosea 4v6: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forgot thy children.

Scripture in this verse tells us that we are destroyed because we lack knowledge. The destruction here is not only physical, it is also mental, spiritual … We often miss joy, peace, love in our lives because we do not have the knowledge of this God said of these things and the benefits they can have on our entire existence. The Bible is the book of knowledge, let us meditate on this book in order to put into practice or live according to what is written in it and our life will be restored.

Thought for the day: God gave us his word so that we have the knowledge to know how to live as his sons in this world.

Topic: You are the light of the world

Matthew 5v14: You are the light of the word. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hit.

We are citizens of the kingdom of God. We have the mandate to manifest the power, the greatness of this kingdom on Earth. One of the ways to do it is to shine in this world, to make this word our own and to act accordingly. Mountains can represent the difficult circumstances that we may encounter on Earth, but we must climb the mountain with joy, courage in order to reach the summit and light the way for others.

Thought for the day: Let our light so shine before men, that they may see our good works, and glorify our Father which is in heaven.

 Topic: Self-control

1 Corinthians 9v25: And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

Usain-Bolt was an extraordinary athlete winning several gold medals at the Olympic Games. When we observe his course, we notice that he provided a lot of effort during training, that he deprived himself of several things to be on top. This required self-control to achieve its goals and obtain a corruptible crown.

We as sons of God have the duty and the capacity to control ourselves, to constantly renew our intelligence to be agreeable to God. We have a duty to do ourselves violence for an incorruptible crown.

Thought for the day: Self-control is the essential key for the setting in motion and the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit in all its glory.

TOPIC: WALK IN THE SPIRIT

GALATIANS 5:16 THIS I SAY THEN, WALK IN THE SPIRIT, AND YE SHALL NOT FULL FILL THE LUST OF THE FLESH.
GALATIANS 5:22-23 BUT THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONG SUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH,
MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE: AGAINST SUCH THERE IS NO LAW.

THERE COMES A POINT IN OUR LIVES WHEN WE WANT TO IMPROVE OUR CHARACTER, OUR BEHAVIOR TOWARDS OTHERS. WE MAKE SO MUCH EFFORT THAT IN THE END WE OFTEN COME OUT DISAPPOINTED WHEN THE RESULTS OBTAINED ARE NOT WHAT WE HOPED FOR. BUT THE SCRIPTURES THROUGH THESE VERSES GIVE US A SECRET, THAT OF WALKING ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT IN ORDER TO MANIFEST THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT. THESE FRUITS WHICH WILL NATURALLY BECOME COMPONENTS OF OUR NEW CHARACTER.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: THE SECRET TO MANIFESTING THE CHARACTER OF CHRIST IS TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT.

Topic: Meditate daily on the word

Scripture: Joshua 1: 8

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

We cannot prevent all kinds of thoughts from coming into our minds, but we do have the power to choose  which ones can be part of our thinking system. The word of God is for us like a filter which makes pass through its meshes thoughts noble for our soul and agreeable to God and at the same time makes it possible to retain and reject thoughts which are not pleasant to him.

Thought for the day: Let us nourish our daily intelligence of the wonders of the word of God in order to have noble thoughts which will lead to noble actions so that the glory of God is manifested in us
