Fellowship with the Holy Spirit

Fellowship with the Holy Spirit Fellowship •Shared Interests •Shared experiences •Shared beliefs Fellowship with the Holy Spirit •Fellowship with the Holy Spirit" refers to a close, personal relationship with the Holy Spirit, where a believer actively seeks to communicate with, be guided by, and live in accordance with the Spirit's influence in their life, essentially sharing their thoughts, feelings, and decisions with God through the Holy Spirit; it involves actively listening to the Spirit's promptings and aligning one's actions with God's will •John 14 v 20, 26 • How do we interact with Holy Spirit? •When do we interact with the Holy Spirit? •Do we always need the Holy Spirit? Onward and his Dog •Can our relationship with God be any better? •The Lord is our King and so He should be treated. •John 4 v 34 Holy Spirit is Power •Acts 1 v 8: But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth. •Act 2 v 37 No need to take action •Abraham and Hagar (Genesis 16) •Story: God promised Abraham and Sarah a son, but when they doubted and tried to "solve" the problem themselves by involving Hagar, it led to conflict and unintended consequences. •Lesson: God didn’t need their help to fulfill His promise—He wanted them to wait on Him. The eventual birth of Isaac was a fulfillment of God's timing and power, not human intervention. •God Solves the Impossible (The Red Sea) •Story: In Exodus 14, the Israelites were trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh's approaching army. They panicked and thought they needed to solve the problem themselves, but Moses told them: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14) •Lesson: God did not need their ideas or plans—He miraculously parted the sea. This demonstrates that God doesn’t need problem solvers; He needs people to trust Him. •Gideon’s Army Shrinking (Judges 7) •Story: Gideon started with 32,000 men to fight the Midianites, but God reduced his army to 300. God said, “You have too many men. I cannot deliver Midian into their hands, or Israel would boast against me, ‘My own strength has saved me.’” (Judges 7:2) •Lesson: God intentionally removed human "problem-solving" efforts to show His power and make it clear that victory comes from Him alone.
