I would like to thank you for being a part of the Jinan International Christian Fellowship family whether you are presently in Jinan or some where around the globe. I would like to encourage you to reach out to us if you are in need of spiritual guidance or just feel like you need someone to chat with. Often times we may feel that we are in this battle all alone but we are not. It is important that you find a prayer partner with whom you can share both your cares and joys. I once read that sharing a problem cuts it in half and sharing joys doubles the pleasure,
Please read or listen to the sermons being presented on this site and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask or comment and we will be sure to reply as soon as possible.
May God richly bless you as the students here in Jinan get ready for the start of the new school term. Again do not be a stranger… Just reach out to us.

Title of the lesson:No Explanations, Just an Invitation
The lesson objectives are:
1.Understand that God's invitation to follow Him is based on faith and trust, not on having all the answers or explanations about life's circumstances.
2.Recognize the importance of embracing one's unique spiritual journey without comparing it to others, trusting that God's plan is purposeful even in trials.
3.Develop the ability to respond to life’s challenges with steadfast faith, accepting God's loving discipline and relying on His grace through uncertainty.
Bible support for the lesson:
Matthew 4:18-22
New International Version
Jesus Calls His First Disciples
18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.
21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
Matthew 11:28-30
New International Version
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
John 21:17-22
New International Version
17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. 18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow me!”
20 Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”) 21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?”
22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.”
John 21:17–22 is part of the epilogue of the Gospel of John, which was likely written toward the end of the 1st century (around AD 90–100). This passage follows Jesus' resurrection and depicts a poignant encounter between Jesus and Peter by the Sea of Galilee.
Context:
1.Restoration of Peter – Earlier in John 21:15–17, Jesus asks Peter three times if he loves Him, mirroring Peter’s three denials (John 18:15–27). Each time, Peter affirms his love, and Jesus commissions him to "feed my sheep," restoring him and affirming his leadership in the early church.
2.Prediction of Peter’s Martyrdom – In John 21:18–19, Jesus foretells Peter’s future martyrdom, indicating that he will glorify God in death (tradition holds that Peter was crucified upside down in Rome under Nero).
3.Peter’s Question About John – In John 21:20–22, Peter asks about the fate of the "disciple whom Jesus loved" (traditionally identified as John). Jesus responds, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!" This redirects Peter’s focus from comparison to faithful discipleship.
You (WE) may be in the trial of your life right now, your family maybe going through stuff which is indescribable, your health maybe failing, you so worried you finance’s maybe in the crisis that you do not know what to say, where to go
→ look at this story, this is post resurrection. After the resurrection of Jesus Christ HE appears 7 times, on 7 different occasions and this is the time where he appears in one of those occasions.
He cooked the breakfast for his discipline that had gone for fishing
Verse 18 said: 18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God.
After the resurrection Jesus is meeting with three of his disciples, in disappearing as HE often did with this three disciples Peter, James and john.
oAnd john been the disciple who Jesus loves.
I do not know, I do not understand, you can say whatever you want to say.
→But the scripture is very clear, HE often Pull this three aside from the other disciples, he often share thing and teaching and inside that he did not share with others
And HE ask Simon do you love me, do you love me, do you love me? Simon said yes I do, and then HE said feed my sheep
Do what I put you on this heath to do, take the words feed the sheep.
And then he said when you grow old they goanna tied your hands, and then goanna lead you where you do not want to go
Down the path that you will never choose to go down. And Jesus said when they lead you that way, you follow me
Peter said, when he saw standing in the same place , the disciple whom Jesus loves he was kind of little … you could hear a little kick back on this, as he said this is unfear, you are not treat me , as you treat your favorite right there, the one that whom you love
What about him, why do I have to suffer? Why do I have to go through this? Why do I have to die like that, what about him?
What of the hard rebuke that you will never hear from the scripture Jesus said “what is it to you, how I deal with him”?
I have a plan for your life
I have plan for his life
When you go down the path following me, you will glorify me.
Whatever you DO will glorify me,
It is not about you, your life is not your own anymore. You surrender to me and follow me, and if in that following I lead you in the path that is not what you though you will go, you just know when you are doing that, I am honor, I am glorify.
You will die a death that will glorify me
Why is that disciple getting the same direction that I go?
Anytime WE get our eyes out of Jesus and our eyes on others peoples and what you going thought compare to what they’re going through
→we are missing the plan of God for your life.
The equality cannot be transfer in the kingdom of God
You cannot say God, if you love me, and you love them, then you will bless us all the same
God says I do not do that, I have a plan for them, I have a plan for you
→In this life we will have tribulations
And just because their life run perfect right now and YOURS does not
HE said; do not say what about then? Why I am going through all of this? I do not deserve it, look at them? Everything is blessed and in order in their lives
HE has a plan for you and it may not be as glorious as what it looks like HE is going in somebody else life right now
I just want to through this thing out,
sometimes when we are going through and you look at people and their life look picture perfect, you do not know what is behind the curt on , you do not know what they’re going through, you do not know that their live in somehow could be 10 times worst compare to anything you are facing yourself
Paul say in 2 corithians 10:12
2 Corinthians 10:12
New International Version
12 We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.
We are not supposed to get bitter at God because he is treat us differently that other peoples
Why do they have a dad, and I do not have a dad, why they could see that and I can see that
Jesus give it must true rebuke: what is that to you?
Do not we understand that I have a plan for your life that will bring glory to my name?
Call to feed the sheep, what is that to you follow me
Where we are it is HIS will for our lives right now,
If you are going through cancer treatment, I am not saying God put the cancer on you
We leave on a falling world; this world is not our home,
My point is this: if God has allow you, and all of us will suffer. All of us will go through sick ness; all of us will go through thing,
Does that mean miraculous are not real? Healing is not real?
“No” it does not mean that? Miraculous is real , healing is real but at some point we all go through challenges and there is nothing evil about it , there is nothing wrong about it , and that has nothing saying God has for seeking us.
Where you are right now is the will of God for your life, if you are following him to the best of your ability, serious about loving the Lord, then right where you are right now is God will for your life because he is going to get glory out of your infirmity, out of your suffering, out of your heartbreak, out of your pain, out of your tears.
Even in trials and tribulations, even when live is not fear, why I am going through this not them, get your eyes out of them and getting back on Jesus
We cannot see behind the croton on everybody else
→ What is that to you? You not know what I am doing in them; you not know what I am doing in you
If I do all the right thing, I go to church, if I read my bible, if I fast , if I pray , if I love God, I worship God , why is this happening to me?
We have to understand that the must greatest peoples in the bible deal with great tragedy and problems that we can ever imagine
It is impossible to become the person that God wants us to become that brings glory to his name and bypass severe trials severe valleys and situations that try you to the ultimate that you say thought this happen to me yet. I trust him
If I lose everything I will still whole to God unchanging hands
The greatest level of faith is not the miracle, is when we say I trust you God when we do not understand anything we are doing
Why am I going through this?
One of the greatest verses we can memorize is Deuteronomy 29:29
Deuteronomy 29:29
New International Version
29 The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.
Why God? Show me the purpose behind this or that? show me the reason why you allow this to happen? Show me this? Show me that? All of that job asks 191 questions why why why? And God never gave him and explanation he said follows me I know what I am doing
And his story gives comfort to believe these days
Hebrews 11:30-12:2
New International Version
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.
31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.[a]
32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning;[b] they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The deal is right there we just keep following him, we do not look over other people and say what about them,
→ I want to remind us about something about the bible says in the book of acts 12
Simon peter and James where in the same prison (Acts 12:1–19)
And James is taken from the prison cells Simon peter in there and walk out to the execution block and be headed that is what happen to him, he was executed in the morning when the sun comes up,
But that night God send an angle to the same cells that one man has gone to his death but for his glorify God , he has serve his purpose , and God said I will be glorify
And here is the man in the same cells less than 24 hours later, God send an angle opens the door, chain fall off, he walks out , go to the house of Mary (mother of John Mark), where believers were praying for him (Acts 12:12–17). They say I am free, they all show out, except James family,
What is kid doing? Why it that God did not save our daddy? Why IS that God did not do the miracles for us, he did it for him, they where in the same conditions. He go his miracles, we got death and destructions, devastations, where is God
We cannot play that game, we cannot do that.
Faith sense I will follow you, if it is the death or if it is a miracles, my faith is the same, I will follow you.
In conclusion, Paul going around healing people, raising the death man, but Paul the bible says has this infirmity that is too painful that he is begging God to remove
Three times, God says I am not going remove it “my Grace is sufficient” for you
Follow me, if you follow me, suffering follow me, if you follow me going through hard time follow me!
If you follow me when something tragic happen to your family, that is when people needs to know that what we have does not just work when the sun is shining it works also when hell is broken and loose
I start to weep the kids at home, but I never weep them to hurt them but to help them, "whom the Lord loves, he chastens"
The lord will hurt you, but he will not harm you.
I never try to harm the kids by weeping them, I even hate that, i hate that, but saline will make me do it
Do you believe that you are better parents that HE is?
I do not care what we are going through, I do not care what we are facing, I do not care how dark it is,
→”Follow me” in that situation Jesus said, I am not going to give you an explanation.
The secret thing belong to the Lord
But I will give you an invitation “follow me”
You belong to the kind!
AMEN
