Are You Happy?

Are you Happy? Are you really happy? Lesson Objective:  To  look deep within to determine if we are truly happy and if not what steps can we take to reach happiness. Scripture:  Philippians 4: 11-13 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [therewith] to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. More conventional ways for happiness Psalms 144:15 Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD Psalms 146:5 | Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God Happiness may be a verb and not an adjective John 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them What is the difference between joy and happiness? Some define happiness as fleeting and joy as long lasting May be we should look at happiness as the cause and joy the effect Steps to Happiness Seek God first Surrender to God Learn to be content Philippians 4: 11-13 Content does not mean not desiring more We can never be happy if we do not learn to be content Key to Happiness (contentment) is to know that you are blessed
