The importance of music in our lives Lesson Objective: To discuss how we can implement music in our daily routines that can bring us closer to God. 1. Scriptures: Ephesians 5:19 - "Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord." 2. Colossians 3:16 - "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts." 3. Psalm 95:1-2 - "Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song." Introduction A. Music in itself means absolutely nothing. One cannot tell the difference between gospel music and secular music without the words B. Verses in Psalms were written in Hebrew prose/poetry so that they could be put into songs format. C.
